**Thomas McKenney September 1, 1947 - April 22, 2022**

Minister Thomas McKenney was born September 1, 1947 to Reverend Corrie and Jessie Mae Mckenney. He was called home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on April 22, 2022.

He leaves to cherish his memories, 10 children, Sheila Washington of Charlotte, NC, Thomasenia (Alvin) Dixon of Elgin SC., Carol Sumter of Florence, SC, Nelson (Carla) McKenney of Timmonsville ,SC, James(Shetal) McKenney of Florence, SC , Joel (Kim) McKenney of Rock hill SC, Shawntana, Amber, Christina McKenney of Florence SC, and Charity Mckenney of Charlotte; twenty grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild , eighteen siblings, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

**Tawanda Kassander Harrington January 9, 1972 - April 21, 2022**

Tawanda Kassander Harrington, 50, died Thursday, April 21, 2022 at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence, SC. She was born January 9, 1972 in Cheraw, SC, a daughter of Juanita Carter Harrington Leach and the late Steve Wendell Harrington.

Public viewing will be held from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Hayes F. Samuels Memorial Chapel, 114 North Church St, Manning, SC.

Funeral services will be held 3:30 PM Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Taw Caw Community Outreach Center, 1130 Granby Lane, Summerton, SC. Rev. Dr. W.T. Johnson, Pastor.

**Jacqulyn P. Arnold August 18, 1938 - April 22, 2022**

It is with our deepest regards we announce the transitioning of Mrs. Jacqulyn Arnold, 83, of Charlotte, North Carolina, formerly of Hartsville, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 22, 2022, after an illness.

**Joey T Gibson March 13, 1983 - April 20, 2022**

Joey Terrell Gibson was born March 13, 1983, in Sumter, SC to Carolina Gibson and the late Joseph Arthur and was nurtured by Harvis McGee Jr.

Joey was educated in the public schools of Sumter, SC. He was the owner of Go Hard Hauling Company. He was a hard worker and a family-oriented person. Joey loved his children and enjoyed making people laugh. He was an avid grill master and enjoyed race cars and racing cars.

Joey accepted Christ at an early age and was reared in a Christian home. He attended Brown Chapel in Pinewood, SC and later started attending Bethesda Church of God in Sumter, SC. In addition to his father, Joey was preceded in death by grandparents, Ethel Lee Gibson, Joe Lewis, Willie (Lilia) Arthur Sr., Elder (Virntell) Holmes Sr., Lillian & Billy McClintoc, Harvis (Bro) McGee Sr.; Aunts, Doris Slater, Emma Hewitt; uncles, Mathew Arthur and Charlie Holmes.

Joey departed this life on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, in Lexington, SC.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted mother, Carolina Gibson, four children, Jaquez Drayton, Jordan Gibson, Justus and Aunesti Gibson; one sister, Melissa Ray; seven brothers, Deshaun McGee, Darnell Johnson, Harvis Wells, Johnathan (Shante) McGee, Quentez Wells, Marcus (Jasmine) Grinnell, and Freddie Grinnell Jr.; grandparents, Margaret (Billy) McGee; aunts, Emma Lee Williams, Teresa Luckey, Annette (Rickey) Holmes, Richard Dean Brunson, Janette McGee Johnson, Denise McGee York, Sharon McGee, Pamela McGee, Margaret Ann McGee, Lillian (Kennedy) McGee; uncles, Willie Arthur Sr., Elijah Arthur, Michael (Mae) McGee, Kiplin Eric (Tia) Evans, Ulysses Kevin McGee; three special aunts Daisy Calhoun, Doretha Bennett, Joyce Johnson McGee, Vicky Rhames and Lutricia Gray; godmother, Deloris Johnson Brown and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.

**Ophelia Coe Ings August 17, 1948 ~ April 21, 2022**

Mrs. Ophelia Coe Ings was born in Darlington County on August 17, 1948, a daughter of the late Mrs. Addie Lee Lucas Coe and Mr. Willie “Bill” Coe. She departed this earthly life on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center, Hartsville, SC.

She received her formal education in the Darlington County Public School where she was a proud graduate of Spaulding High School Class of 1967.

Mrs. Ings was a lifelong member of Saint John United Methodist Church in the Oates Community. She was an active member of St. John’s Senior Choir and the United Methodist Women.

Ophelia worked various jobs throughout her life. In the 1980’s, she was employed with Morrell Nursing Center, Hartsville, SC and McCoy Memorial Nursing Center, Bishopville, SC as a Nurse’s Assistant.

Ophelia had an infectious smile and lived a beautiful life. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and making beautiful floral arrangements. Baking cakes was one of her specialties along with being a caretaker for many. Above all, Ophelia had great love for her family.

Those left to cherish her memory are: her two loving daughters: Simone (Gregory) Green of Hartsville, SC and Tara (Devin) Mingo of Darlington, SC; three sisters: Novella Fox, Arnese Coe and Jennie Waiters all of Oates, SC; a cousin raised as a sister, Jacqueline “Mae” Anderson of Lamar, SC; one aunt, Dora Grant of Darlington, SC; four grandchildren: Jasmine Mingo of Florence, SC, Avrin Smith of Hartsville, SC, Ebony Mingo and Unique Ross both of Darlington, SC; one great granddaughter, Ryleigh James of Florence, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mrs. Ings was preceded in death by: her sisters: Doristeen Coe, Rosa Lee Dinkins, Elease Stevenson and Betty Joyce Ross; three brothers: Billy Lyde, Marion Willie Lucas and Charlie Coe; her ex-husband, Ronald Ings.

**Evelyn Ricks Garnett Montgomery March 28, 1934 - April 20, 2022**

Evelyn Ricks Garnett Montgomery, 88, widow of Leroy Montgomery, died Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence, SC. She was born March 28, 1934 in Mayesville, SC, a daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Ann Casey Ricks.

Public viewing will be held from 4:00PM til 6:00PM Monday, April 25, 2022 at Hayes F. Samuels, Sr. Memorial Chapel, 114 N. Church St., Manning,SC.

**Deloris Wilson Singleton December 12, 1951 - April 23, 2022**

Roxboro Street, Apartment 720, of Durham, North Carolina, formerly of Hartsville, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 23, 2022, after an illness. **Marshella Brown July 6, 1982 - April 18, 2022**

Marshella Brown was born July 6, 1982 to Sheila Hall Brown and Marshall Oliver. She died on Monday, April 18, 2022 after an illness.

Marshella was educated in the Newark School System and was a graduate of Franklin H. Morrel High School.

Marshella will always be remembered for her artistic nature, as well as her stunning inner and outer beauty of compassion and love. She was an incredible mother to her own as well as others. She was a true friend to all who knew her and always available to aide others if needed.

During her most difficult times while going through her illness, she never lost her faith. She fought a good fight and finished her course, now there is laid up for her a crown of righteousness.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Ronald Brown; sons, Tyrone and Knowledge; mother, Sheila Hall Brown; father, Marshall Oliver; sisters, Kenya Wilson, Shanda Brown, Sharon Brown, Christina Brown, Taisha Brown, Torresia Williams Brown, Jamilla Williams Stokes, Markema Elders; brother Jamil Williams; and a host of aunt, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

**Rev. Dr. Johnny Lee Ceasar April 9, 1956 - April 20, 2022**

Rev. Dr. Johnny Lee Ceasar, 66, husband of Haretha L. Rhodes Ceasar, died Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at his residence, 1716 Southpoint Crossng Drive, Durham, NC. He was born April 9, 1956 in Gable, SC, a son of the late Marshall Ceasar, Sr. and Louise Scott Ceasar.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday April 28, 2022 at Melina Presbyterian Church, 3539 Black River Road, Gable, SC. Rev. Samuel L. Sparks,Pastor; Rev. Dr. Larry Hill, Supply Pastor, Officiating; Rev.Dr.Cornelilus E. Battle,Sr., Eugolgist; Rev. Kirton J. Lashley amd Ms. Mary A.Ceasar, assisting. Burial will follow in the churchyard cemetery.
