* FSA Spring Soccer Registration

The City of Florence is currently offering registration for the Florence Soccer Association Spring Season. Registration began January 1st and will last until January 27th. Late registration will begin on January 28th and will end January 31st. The spring season will be offered to boys/girls 4 year old to 13 year old. The cost is $46 for residents and $66 for non-residents and the cost will go up $10 during late registration. You can register in person at the Barnes Street Recreation Center or online by following the link below. * Florence Youth Basketball Update

The Florence Youth Basketball league has postponed the start of games from January 7th until the week of January 19th. Teams will still be allowed to practice during this time and new schedules will be posted by the end of the week.

* VideoGaming Workshop

Florence County Parks and Recreation will sponsor a VideoGaming workshop on February1 , 2021.Participants will learn coding and video game design. For more information please call (843) 667-0920.

*Spring 2021 Baseball Coach

If you are interested in coaching in the upcoming Spring baseball league please register here. This is the first step in the process of volunteering for our youth baseball league.Barnes Street Activity Center starting February 2, 2021 and ending June 6, 2021. Coaching will take place on Mon. * 2021 Spring Adult Softball Leagues

The City of Florence Athletics & Sports Tourism will run registration for their 2021 Spring Adult Softball Leagues from Monday, February 1 thru Friday, February 26 at the City of Florence Parks & Recreation Administrative Offices located at 513 Barnes Street. If your team is interested in participating, please stop by and pick up an information packet and to pay your team registration fees.

The registration fee is $475.00 per team for the Coed and Open Leagues. Registration fee for the Junior League will be $325.00. The deadline for paying the registration fee is Friday, February 26 at 5:30pm. All paid teams may begin practicing at Freedom Florence beginning on Monday, March 15. A team rep meeting will be held at the Freedom Florence Recreation Upper Complex and team reps will be notified of their meeting date and time. Games will begin on Monday, March 29, 2021.

Leagues offered are: Adult Open Coed, Adult Open “A” and “B” divisions and a Junior 35 and Older League. Any individuals wishing to sign up without a team will be placed on a free agent list, available to be called by any team needing extra players. Individuals can register by phone at 843-669-4597 or by e-mail. Players on the free agent list are not guaranteed to be placed on a team. Adult softball Coed and Open league games will be played Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Junior, 35 and older, League games will be played on Wednesday evenings. All leagues will use USSSA Rules in conjunctionwith the Recreation League guidelines and by-laws.

* Major Youth Tennis Tournament to Hit Florence South Carolina

The Dr. Eddie Floyd Florence Tennis Center will host the Boys and Girls 12s and 10s divisions of the Veg-All Level 4 National Junior Tennis Tournament on January 30 - February 1. This will be the highest-level junior tournament ever held at the Tennis Center and will draw as many as 160 competitive junior players from all over the country. The Tournament Director will be Jonathan Barth, Director of Tennis at Kiawah Island, where the other divisions will be played. Former FTA President Ernie James will serve as referee for the events in Florence..

This event will provide an excellent opportunity for the Pee Dee area's best young players to participate in high-level competition. It will be played on the Tennis Center's 24 hard courts and the public is welcome to come out and watch some exceptional junior players in action.
