Ten Wilson High School seniors make up the cohort of 2022 early college students in Florence 1 Schools. The students are members of the seventh graduating class of the Early College program.

In addition to receipt of the high school diploma which will be awarded on June 2nd, these seniors received an Associate of Arts degree from Florence-Darlington Technical College at its recently held graduation ceremony.

The Early College program was established in the summer of 2014, and it offers students the opportunity to take college classes leading to an Associate of Arts degree. In the high schools, a certified college instructor teaches the students in the program. High school students of the program will earn at least three hours of college credit for each class once they have successfully earned a C or higher. The Early College program offers 71 college hours.
