A Senior Theatre Company Is Now In Florence, SC!

The Flo-Town Wisdom Players, formerly known as the Leatherman Seasoned Players, is a unique theatre experience for, by and about senior citizens that was nonexistent until now in the Pee Dee region of South Carolina.
The new Company is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable senior theatre company under the direction of its founder, Ms. Brenda Brown.

The Flo-Town Wisdom Players was created out of a desire to develop works that focus on, and promote the social, cognitive, emotional and physical well-being of our older adult population. The Company consists of men and women over the age of 50 who write scripts and perform to an ever-growing audience. Some of them are fulfilling a lifelong dream of being on stage, while others have no theatrical experience, but want something fun, exciting, and interesting to do.

The Company prides itself on providing lively, interactive and educational productions that are enjoyed by everyone, regardless of age. Members bridge the intergenerational gap by fostering a vibrant and healthy exchange of experience, knowledge and wisdom with people of all ages.

The Flo-Town Wisdom Players will open the 2021 season with its first production, entitled “Who Murdered Grandma Poo Poo?” The performance will take place in Southern Pines, NC on April 11, 2021.
Other events for the year include a “Seniors Got Talent” show and dinner theatre. There are many opportunities to get involved – give a donation, become a sponsor, become a member, volunteer!
