*Obituary of Harry Cameron*

Graveside service for Mr. Harry Cameron was directed by Peoples Funeral Service. He died Sunday April 11, 2021. The family is receiving friends at 715 N. Old Georgetown Road, Lake City, SC.

He was born on December 13 1946, the son of the late Mr. Ernest and Jeanette Baker-Cameron. He departed this earthly life on April 11 2021. Harry was formerly employed at the United States Post Office, after over 30 years of service, he retired and Moved to Virginia. After a brief stay, he had a yearning to return home, back to Cameron Town where it began.Harry was affectionately known as "Mr C"and will always be remembered as a kind hearted, soft spoken man who never failed to help those around him in need. Cameron. Mr. Cameron was preceded in death by his parents, Jeanette and Ernest Baker, his Brother Watson Cameron, his Best Friend Johnny Cameron and his Loving Wife the late Dorothy M Cameron.

Left to cherish his precious memories are: his daughter Ingrid Katan of Rego Park NY; his Son Reginald Cameron of Lithonia GA; one sister Mary Dottery of Brooklyn, NY; four Brothers Ernest (Mary) Cameron, Sank Cameron of Winston Salem NC, Sampson Cameron of Richmond Virginia and Amos Cameron (Barbara) of Lake City SC; three sisters- in-law, Janice Matthews (Gregory) Rolesville, NC, Mary Cameron (Ernest) of Winston Salem and Barbara Cameron (Amos) of Lake City SC; three brothers- in-law, Rolly Lee Jr of Queens NY, Bazzel Lee of Lake City SC and Gregory(Janice) Matthews of Rolesville, NC; grandchildren, Prince Hasani Amir Cameron of Lithonia ,GA and his Princess Milani Dorothy Katan of Rego Park, NY and his adopted son "Benny" along with a host of Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and Friends who will miss him dearly.

*Obituary of Anstey Minors*

Mr. Anstey Minors was born October 9, 1936 in Belmont Port of Spain, Trinidad, West Indies. He was the second eldest of twelve children to the late Geroge D. Minors and Pearl Kennedy. He entered his eternal rest on Sunday, April 18, 2021, at 10:55 am.

Anstey joined the US Merchant Marine at the tender age of 19 and retired July 31, 1995, where he served as a Union Representative for Seafarers International Union of North America. He publicly confessed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and received his membership from New Ebenezer Baptist Church of Florence on December 28, 1997, under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Norman Gamble. Anstey was not a stranger to anyone. He spent his retired years selling goods at the Florence Flea Market.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Monica, Lola, Frederick, Marlene, Marcel, and Shirley.

Left to cherish his precious memories include his siblings; Hamin Ibn Abdallah (Godwin Minox) of London, David Minors of Trinidad, WI, Aurbon Minors of Walterboro, SC, Gladys Clarke of Trinidad, WI, Marina Thomas of New York, and Norva Clarke-Bailey of Trinidad, WI, devoted niece; Charlene (Johnnie) Coaxum and devoted cousin; Gretha Williamson who stood by his side providing all his needs, a son, several nieces, nephews and a host of good friends that they knew his as the “President”, somewhat like Jesus and the Boss.

He had lived a long life filled with Love, Joy, and Prosperity and at the end of every rainbow, life begins. He is now onto a new journey in his heavenly home. We love you, Uncle Henry!

*Obituary of Eugene Perkins Hill*

REFLECTIONS OF LIFE: For everything, there is a season, a time to be born:

Eugene Perkins Hill born April 13, 1930, in Glade Spring, VA the fourth of eleven children to the late Robert and Carrie Hill.

Eugene attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church with his family as a child and was baptized. He was always a humble, compassionate and generous person. He was educated in the public schools of Abingdon, VA, and attended Swift Memorial Jr. College in Rogersville, Tenn. There he received an associate degree in Liberal Arts and played football. After college, he joined the United States Air Force where he served for 20 years as Security Forces and played football. He received various medals and honors during deployment in Germany, France, North Africa, and in Vietnam he was in charge of mortar crews. Eugene played football for the Air Force his entire career. While station in France he played rugby and was featured in magazines. He had the opportunity to play for the Chicago Bears; but, had reenlisted and couldn’t get out of the military.

Anybody who knows Gene knows he loves football and fishing. His team was the Washington Redskins. Two of his dearest friends are Alvin and Larry from Washington DC, who visited him frequently; and Charlie who is a recent South Carolina buddy. He enjoyed fishing with all his kids. Gene taught his wife, the joy of fishing and they did that a lot.

In addition to his parents Eugene was preceded in death by a brother; Robert Hill and a brother in law; Clyde Cook.

Left to cherish his precious memories is his devoted wife: Millicent Foxworth Hill, two sons; Bradford Eugene (Shelly) Hill and Rodney Orlanda Foxworth Hill, extended family Jaylin Ellibee children from a previous marriage three children: Barry Eugene (Tim) Hill, Karen Denise (Richard) Allen, and Keith (Joycelyn) Hill, grandchildren; Rayan, Jonathan, Wesley and Brianna; great-grand; Ryleigh; siblings; Betty Cook, Nancy (Nathaniel) Johnson, Connie (William) Washington, Aurthur Hill, Merriel Hill, Fred Douglas Hill, Nell Wooten, and Mary Johnson, two sisters-in-law; Elizabeth Hill, Nell, Stephanie (Alphonza), four brothers-in-law; Charles Ellison, Jerry, Berno (Jannie), Myron (Tracy), and Rodney and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

*Obituary of Herbert Edmond*

It is with sorrow the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. announce the passing of Mr. Herbert Edmond of Darlington. Mr. Edmond expired on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at his residence.
Funeral service was Saturday, April 17, 2021 in the Lawson Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Herbert Edmond was born February 11, 1932 in St. Matthews, South Carolina a son of the late Elliott Kimptson and Lizzie Edmond. He entered into his final resting place on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at his residence.

He received his formal education in the Calhoun County Public Schools.

He made his home in Far Rockaway, New York in the 1950’s. There he met the love of his life the former Miss Georgeanna Benton. They were united in marriage on July 7, 1960. She preceded him in death on August 12, 2013.

Herbert was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist on Rockaway Beach Blvd. in Far Rockaway, NY where Rev. Larry Shell, Sr. was his pastor. He served faithfully where needed.

Herbert lived most of his life in Far Rockaway, NY where he was gainfully employed. After retirement, in 2005, he made his home in Darlington, SC.

He was an exceptional person. Although he was quiet, he was also loving and kind.

Those left to share the joys and sorrows of life with him are: his siblings: James (Mary) Edmond, Johnnie (Bessie Lou) Edmond and Edna P. Jones all of St. Matthews, SC; his one brother-in-law: Joel Benton of Jamaica, New York; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Jacobs of Darlington, SC and Mae Edmond of St. Matthews, SC; his god-children: Herbert (Louvenia) Edmond, Amy Jacobs, Brittany Adams, Denish Jones, Herbert Edmond, Jr., Alexis Edmond and Emma G. Chambers; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by: his siblings: Fred Edmond, J. C. Edmond, Sally Kimptson and Mamie Lou Howard, Lottie Edmond and Duke Edmond.
