Lady Tigers Ranked 4th In Region Poll

The Benedict College women's basketball team is ranked fourth in the preseason D2SIDA media poll.

The Lady Tigers are the two-time defending SIAC Champions, and return all the key players from last season's team that went 25-3 overall. Headlining the team is senior forward Ay'Anna Bey, who was named to the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) All-South Region team last season after averaging 17.2 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. Benedict will open the 2020-21 season on Jan. 9 at home against Savannah State.

Tampa was first in the preseason poll, followed by Union and Lee. Benedict and Delta State were tied for fourth with 31 points each.
