Christmas Electric Extravaganza

Christmas Electric Extravaganza is every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. through Dec.30 at 48 Public Square in Darlington. The event will be closed from Dec. 24-25. There will be trains, a miniature village, and hot cocoa. Admission is free.

Christmas in Candyland

The Pageland Chamber of Commerce will transform downtown Pageland into Christmas in Candyland Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. Bring the family out for horse-drawn carriage rides, food trucks, a petting zoo, and snow! There will be special appearances by Santa, Rudolf, Frosty, Grinch, Elmo, Mickey and Minnie Mouse!

Downtown Music & Light Show

Downtown Florence comes alive with Christmas music and lights nightly from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Every evening through December 31, enjoy a holiday light and music spectacular on S. Dargan Street. Entering its fifth year, the downtown music and light experience is a family favorite walk-through event. Each year the display and music are a bit different and admission is always free. Parking is available in the City of Florence parking garage.

Holiday Craft Fair

Celebrate Small Business Saturday and prepare for the holidays with the Historic Marion Revitalization Association! Join the HMRA Saturday at 10 a.m. as they start the day off with their Craft Fair with vendors selling your favorite goods. Shop local within the Historic District at the many shops, as they’ll be staying open late this day to meet your holiday shopping needs! (Hours may vary, please contact each store for their hours)

Florence Christmas Parade

The theme of this year’s parade is “Joy to the World.”

Joy to the World is a the most published Christmas hymn in North America. It is a Christmas carol written in the 1700s. The song is based on an interpretation of Psalm 98, Psalm 96:11 and 12, and Genesis 3:17-18.

The parade will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday Dec. 18. The parade usually heads down West Evans Street toward downtown and ends at the intersection of East Evans and N.B. Baroody Street.

Family Day at Home – Holiday at Home

From toddlers to grandparents, Family Days with the Florence County Museum are sure to offer something for everyone. The FCM is still unable to host Family Day in-person, but we can’t let December go by without Family Day! Drive through to pick up your FREE Family Day at Home Kit to create along with us. All supplies and written instructions are included with access to online video tutorials. You don’t want to miss December's Family Day at Home!

Holiday Crackers, Cinnamon Dough Ornaments, Winter Luminaries, and Jingle Bell Necklaces

Drive-Through Kit Pickup:

Saturday, December 11, 2021. 12:00 am to 3:00 pm

Please enter the drive-through line from the Cheves Street entrance. Turn to the right, around the back of the Museum. Pull into the bus parking and up to the tent. A museum staff member will deliver the kits to your car.

Please limit the requested kits to the number of children in your immediate family.

We will hand out Family Day at Home kits rain or shine.
