Allen Shines At Gamecock Invitational

COLUMBIA, S.C. - After a stellar performance at the Lenoir-Rhyne Invitational last weekend, the Allen men's and women's track & field teams returned home to compete in the Gamecock Invitational Saturday at Sheila and Morris Cregger Track.

Men's Recap

For the men, Kenneth Williams continued his dominant 2022 outdoor campaign as he placed fourth in the long jump, clearing 7.05m/23-1.75.

Isaiah Milhouse also had an excellent day as he registered top-15 finishes in both the discus and the shot put.

Milhouse threw the discus 38.43m for a new season-best, which was good enough for a 13th place finish. He also tossed the shot put 12.02m to place 15th.

Women's Recap

For the women, Aisha Patterson recorded a top-20 finish (18th) in the 100m, running 12.46.

In the field events, Allen saw a plethora of excellent performances as the Yellow Jackets recorded seven top-20 finishes.

Destinee Jamison-Whitfield had Allen's best finish of the day, placing seventh in the Javelin (29.83m).

Ky'leigha Robinson placed 17th in the long jump (4.79m)

Allen fared well in the hammer finals as four Yellow Jackets finished in the top-17

Allen will wrap-up it's 2022 outdoor campaign when the Yellow Jackets return to Cregger Track for the UofSC Open next weekend.
