The Richland One Office of Communications received 13 awards from the South Carolina Chapter of the National School Public Relations Association (SC/NSPRA) for outstanding communications and public relations efforts.

Angela Crosland won awards for the Unplanned feature stories that enhance culture, morale and Richland One employee profiles.

The awards were presented May 13 during SC/NSPRA’s 2022 Rewards for Excellence Luncheon held at the Phillips Market Center at the State Farmers Market.

The Rewards for Excellence Program features three awards programs: Medallion (for comprehensive public relations programs); Golden Achievement (for a single project or an aspect of a comprehensive program); and Publications and Electronic Media (for individual products designed to improve communication).

Richland One’s Office of Communications team won 10 publications and electronic media awards, including a Best in Show award, and three Golden Achievement awards.

“We are honored to have our work recognized by our peers,” said Karen York, executive director of communications for Richland One. “We are especially proud and appreciative of the opportunities we have every day to help tell the Richland One story.”
