*Mary Drake October 25, 1942 - May 12, 2022*

Ms. Mary H. Drake was born October 25, 1942,in Marion SC to Alex Haynes and Mary Evans. She transitioned to her eternal home Thursday, May 12, 2022.

Mary attended school in Marion County. She was blessed to have an amazing career in the home health care industry. She worked as a caregiver for Dr. Wilson of Darlington, SC for twenty-one years.

She attended The Spoken Word Church in Coward, SC where Johnny Osborne serves as the pastor. Mary was a faithful and devoted member until her health declined, and she was no longer physically able to attend services.

Mary loved God and her family. She was a delightful person and people enjoyed being in her presence. She loved to laugh. She was full of joy and will be greatly missed by those who knew her. Mary enjoyed listening to Pastor Shirley Caesar because they were neighbors when she lived in Durham NC.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Alex Haynes and Mary Evans; her daughter, Barbara Ann Buie; sisters, Pearlie Mae Lesane and Sara Foxworth; and her brothers, Santee Haynes, Rev. Alex Haynes Jr., and Rev Sampson Haynes.

Surviving family members who cherish her memories include her special companion, Eddie Baker, Florence SC; son, Ronnie Smith, Florence, SC; special daughter, Rana Capuano, Sumter, SC; grandchildren, Tieshia Allen, Marion SC; Ronnisha Smith, Durham NC; Miyonna Smith, Ronnie Smith Jr. and Brooklyn Smith, Florence SC; great grandchildren, Carillie Winstead, Rayniha Smith and Nyisha Joint, Durham NC; Aubree Allen, Marion SC; sister, Rosa Lee (Willie) Thomas, Marion SC; special niece, Louvenia Lyde, Florence SC; nieces, Teresa Alabere, Cherrie (Samuel) Hampton, Betty Wright, Fannie Murphy, Loretta Wright; nephew Richard (Lakeisha) Wright, Lillington NC; and a host of other relatives and friends.

*Claudie L Gregg October 23, 1932 - May 12, 2022*

Claudie L. Gregg, 89, widow of Willie Gregg and daughter of the late Claude Linton and Rosa Wright Linton, was born on October 23, 1932 in Sumter, SC. She departed this life on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Sumter East Health and Rehabilitation Center in Sumter, SC.

*Dianne Moore November 21, 1961 - May 11, 2022*

Dianne McCutcheon Moore was born November 21, 1961, in Florence, SC to Freddie McCutcheon and Estherlene McAllister McCutcheon. She departed this life May 11, 2022.

Dianne attended South Florence High School and was formerly employed with Florence School District One.

She was a member of Mount Rona Baptist Church. She loved God, her family, and her beloved Mount Rona family. Her absence leaves a void in the hearts of everyone who spent any time with her.

Dianne was a wonderful cook, and she loved playing Bingo. She was always there for everyone. Dianne was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Sarah Young.

Left to cherish her precious memories are her fiancé, Teron McAllister; five children, Dedra Moore, Kedra (Robert Anderson) Moore, Alicia Moore, Quinten (Shakari Davis) Howard, and Christopher Howard all of Florence, SC; one sister, Brenda McCutcheon; three brothers, Freddie McCutcheon Jr, Marvin (Mary) McCutcheon, and Donnie McCutcheon; seven grandchildren, Rashaud, Rashaun, Kristopher, Keyerra Anderson, Quintavion Davis and Sharicontay Davis, Nykeria Moore (was reared in the home); two nieces, Catherine(DeAngelo)Nixon and Monique Brooks; two nephews, Patrick Brayboy and Charles Williams.

Dianne was loved by a host of other family members and friends. Dianne will be truly missed, and we will love and cherish our memories of her forever.

George Pearson, 88, husband of Almeta McFadden Pearson, died Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at his residence. He was born January 30, 1934 in New Zion, SC, a son of the late Sam Robert and Earline Evans Pearson.

Grave side services for will be held 12:00 Noon Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at St. John AME Workman Community of Kingstree, SC. Rev. Federick Johnson officiating, Rev. Leroy D. Evans Presiding and Elder Morrell McFadden assisting.

*Twonquel Levern Cooper February 14, 1995 - May 14, 2022*

Brother Twonquel Levern Cooper was 27, and departed this life Saturday May 14, 2022 in Conway, SC. He was the son of Deacon Christopher Cooper and Apostle Maxine Cooper, the brother of Brookequel, Mounquel, Jacquel and My'Laisha Cooper, the grandson of Mary (Mag) Emanuel.

Rosetta Felder, 81, daughter of the late Norris Hammett and Louise Mellette Hammett, was born on August 11, 1940 in Clarendon County, SC. She departed this life on Friday, May 13, 2022 at Prisma Health Richland in Columbia, SC.

Public viewing was Sunday, May 15, 2022 from 2-6pm at Job’s Mortuary.

Funeral Services were Monday, May 16, 2022 at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center 101 South Salem Avenue, Sumter, SC 29150

Interment in Hillside Memorial Park.

*Deborah Smith Legette July 13, 1938 - May 12, 2022*

Mother Deborah Smith Legette was 83, and departed this life Thursday May 12, 2022 in Columbia, SC. She was the mother of Crystal Legette Tolbert and Kimery Legette.

Graveside services are scheduled to be held at the St. Timothy Baptist Church Cemetery, Marion on Thursday May 19, 2022 at 11:00 am. Services will be live-streamed on the Jackson & McGill Facebook Page.

*Eddie McDaniel January 6, 1949 - May 11, 2022*

Eddie McDaniel, 73, departed this life on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, Sumter. He was born on January 6, 1949 in Sumter to the late Author McDaniel, Sr. and Bertie Lee Wingate McDaniel. He was educated in the Sumter County public schools. He accepted Christ into his life. He was married to Mary Wells McDaniel for 55 years and was blessed with 3 children. He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his children, Yvonne (Gary) Days of Savannah, GA, Edward McDaniel and John McDaniel, both of Sumter; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Blanche Wright and Mary Johnson; three brothers, Moses McDaniel, Author McDaniel, Jr., Jerry (Bonnie) McDaniel; in-law, Emma Ruth Wells, Lottie (Josh) Smiling, Luther (Katie) Wells, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. In accord with the COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting no visitation at the home. Memorial services were held 11:00 a. m., Monday, May 16, 2022 in the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Inc., 821 North Main Street, Sumter, with Apostle Maurice Wells, Eulogist and Minister Lottie Smiling, presiding. The Procession will leave the home at 10:30 a. m.

*Robert Wilson February 7, 1956 - May 12, 2022*

Mr. Robert Wilson, son of the late Dave and Josephine Wilson, was born February 7, 1956, in Timmonsville, South Carolina. He departed this life on Thursday May 12, 2022, at MUSC.

Robert graduated from Timmonsville high school in 1974. After graduation he later became employed with Union Carbide for 20 plus years. Robert was a faithful member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his sister Pearlena White, three brothers, Jethro, James and Morris, also his wife Dorothy Pugh Wilson.

Robert leaves to cherish his memories: three sisters Jessie Ashford, Deloris Burwell and Hattie Wilson; one brother John Wilson; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephew; a special friend Joan McNeil; other relatives and dear friends

*Ruth B. Howard April 16, 1923 - May 14, 2022*

It is with heartfelt condolences that the management and staff of Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc. announces the passing of Ms. Ruth B. Howard of Florence, SC. Ms. Howard transitioned early Saturday morning, May 14, 2022 in a Florence hospice house.
