Local Foundation Covers Full Tuition Of 30 Students Attending Morris College

A beautiful dream has become a reality for thirty students at Morris College in Sumter, SC. That dream? A tuition free college education through The Beautiful Possibilities Scholarship. The scholarship is given by The Lou Von Family Foundation founded by Dr. James V.”Ted” Wilson, Sr. and the Wilson Family. The scholarship is the first of its kind presented to Morris College and is available for students with an expressed interest in pursuing a four-year degree at Morris College and is based on financial need.

The Lou Von Family Foundation is a 501C3 approved organization that makes an incredible impact in the community through their “House to Home Initiative” designed to help single mothers and low income families own their own home, by actively assisting homeless veterans and underinsured elderly, as well as various food and coat drives for children. Dr. Wilson is the Founder and CEO of Universal Benefits Inc., a leading insurance marketing firm specializing in final expense. He serves on several local and national boards including the Morris College Board of Trustees. An award’s luncheon was held on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at the Garrick-Boykin Human Development Center on the Morris College campus in Sumter, SC.
