SCLBC Third Annual Minority Business Forecast
South Carolina Legislative Black Caucus’ (SCLBC) Third Annual Minority Business Forecast will be Friday, March 31, 2023, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, at Brooklyn Baptist Church Banquet and Conference Center at 1066 Sunset Blvd, West Columbia, SC.
The purpose of this event is to bring together lawmakers, South Carolina business leaders, and professionals for a frank discussion on the topics and issues vital to minority business competitiveness and overall success. The event will also help link SC DBE firms with estate and local agencies and departments seeking minority business participation.
Keynote Speaker will be Dr. Louis Lynn, Chairman of ENVIRO AgScience, Inc., special remarks by Bonita Clemons, Member of the SC Black Farmers Coalition and 2023 Female Farmer of the year.
Three panel discussion will take place on the State of the Economy for SC Minority Businesses, The needs, challenges, and resources for entrepreneurs, and SC Small Business Development Center 2023 updates. Panelists include SC House Representative David Weeks (District 51); Michael Jackson, Government Relations for SC Ports Authority; Will Frierson, SC Chamber of Commerce VP of Government Affairs; SC House Representative Kambrell Garvin (District 77); Bre Maxwell, CEO of Indigo Consultant, LLC; Hamilton Grant, President at Grant Business Adviors, LLC; SC Senator Vernon Stephen (District 39); Michele Abraham, State Director of SC Small Business Development Center; Allen Brown, SC SBDC Midlands Coordinator and Business Consultant.
This is a free event and lunch will be provided but there are limited seats.
