SLED Charges Former Greenville Technical College Bursar With Embezzlement

Agents with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Jennifer Leigh Price, 53, of Seneca, SC, on May 18, 2023, with Embezzlement of Public Funds valued at $10,000 or more. SLED conducted the investigation at the request of Greenville Technical College Police Department.

Between the dates of April 1, 2022 through September 20, 2022, Price, while employed with Greenville Technical College as the Bursar and charged with safekeeping, transfer and disbursement of the college funds allegedly embezzed more than $10,000 of those funds. According to arrest warrants, Price admitted to the embezzlement of the funds to use for the defendant’s everyday living expenses.

Price was booked at the Greenville County Detention Center. The case will be prosecuted by the 13th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
