**DDRA Members Breakfast**

Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 8 a.m. at Taki's Diner, 609 Pearl St. Free for members and $5 for others. Members meet to network, make suggestions, and find out about upcoming events.

**Saturdays On The Square**

Thanks to the generous contributions of the City of Darlington, the Darlington Downtown Revitalization Association kicked off its Bringing Downtown Alive! free Concert Series on Saturday! The concerts will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturdays on the Public Square with a different theme each month.

August 7 - Back to School (The Rick Strickland Band)

September 4 - Race Week (Level 10 Band & Show)

October 2 - 80s-Themed Party (Bout Time Band)

**Wine Down Wednesdays**

Enjoy Wine Down Wednesdays at Chianti's Wings & Things, 124 Cashua St., Darlington, from 4 to 9 p.m. with wine and wing specials. (843) 944-0880

Carolina Nightlife & Grill will hold a Cornhole Tournament every Wednesday at 2244 Harry Byrd Hwy., Darlington. Anyone can play. Register at 6 p.m. with play starting at 6:30 p.m. All skill levels welcome. Tournament is blind/random partner draw, double elimination format. Cost is $10 per person for the Advanced Bracket and $5 per person for the Tailgate Bracket. If you can average 2 in the hole every time, we recommend the advanced bracket. Cash prizes for winning teams.

**Gospel In The Park**

Gospel in the Park Series returns Sunday August 8, 5pm until 8pm in Pride Park 630 S 6th Street. ‘ Youth Alive’ Back to School Rally with School Supplies. Gospel in the Park Series has partnered with The Hartsville Branch of the NAACP and DHEC to bring the COVD-19 Vaccines to you, keeping our community safe. Live Entertainment by The Singing Angels of Sumter SC, The Talented Anisha Green, Hartsville SC , The Mt Carmel Praise Team, The Christ of King Praise Team and Dancers all of Timmonsville SC, Creekside, Darlington SC and more. **South Carolina Sales Tax Free Weekend Set For August 6-8**

South Carolina's annual sales tax holiday will happen four days after Florence One Schools students return to school. The South Carolina Department of Revenue announced Tuesday, June 22nd that the sales tax holiday offering shoppers an opportunity to save the state sales tax and any applicable local taxes on computers and printers, clothes and shoes, school supplies and certain bed and bath items purchased in store or online would be held from Friday, Aug. 6 to Sunday, Aug. 8. Florence One Schools students are set to return to the classroom on Monday, Aug. 2 as part of the district's move to a year-round calendar.

**Summer Camps And Programs 2021**

Florence Family YMCA: The Florence Family YMCA offers a Summer Day Camp with all the special activities that make summer fun! This camp is for children entering K-5 through 6th grade. Hours are from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. Camp runs all summer long in weekly sessions. You can choose to come all summer or select certain weeks.

Girls University Summer Camp: Camps are centered around improving the well-being of girls. They believe in each girl's individuality and intentionally focus on three key areas: creativity, education, and passion. Camp themes and offerings vary by the week and focus on science, technology, engineering, creative arts, and academics. Camps are for girls, rising 5K through 6th grade. Topics include roller coaster engineering, cooking science, career exploration, cosmetic chemistry, robot building, slime tennis lessons & more!

Driven by Dance Studio (Quinby): Join Driven by Dance for their Summer Dance Camp. For ages: 3-12. The camp is Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are provided. The activities include math, reading, games, and dance.
