Leadership Florence Class of 2021 Gives Back To Nonprofits

September 09, 2021

As a part of their efforts to assist the Greater Florence community, The Leadership Florence Class of 2021 presented checks to HopeHealth, Manna House and the United Way of Florence County.

The checks, totaling over $3,000, were the proceeds of the Leadership Florence “Helping Florence Bounce Back” class project and raffle. Along with the checks, the class also donated over 200 hygiene kits to each of the three agencies. During the course of the project, the class had collection bins at more than 70 locations throughout Florence to collect everything from personal hygiene items to school supplies. The supply drive culminated in a Leadership Day of Service at First Presbyterian Church.

“We were thrilled to be able to assist”, said Taylor Hucks, vice president of the class. “The checks will help these agencies to continue being great assets to our community.” Class treasurer Scott Dell of Francis Marion University and Les Echols of the Florence Chamber also represented Leadership Florence.

Paul Jones accepted the check for Manna House. The check for HopeHealth was presented to HopeHealth CEO Carl Humphries, along with Ashton White and Tevin Leary. United Way president Cameron Packett, and marketing & agency relations director Jenna Nance were on hand to accept their check.
